Our Imogene Slim is a skinnier take on the “stovepipe” leg of our namesake women’s style; our slimmer mid-rise jean has a 12-inch leg opening versus the original’s 16, making it the perfect leg to tuck into a boot.

Imogene has a hip to accommodate a woman’s curves, and larger, wide-set pockets for a flattering backside. It’s safe to assume Imogene would approve.

With this plus wash, we found a whole new way to damage our jeans. Veering away from our traditional holes and tears, you’ll discover little snags, pulls and repairs that add to her character. The hand sanding process allows her to get a little bluer, with highlighting around the knee, thigh and backside.

Carrie’s grandmother Imogene had a great personal style, an easy mix of elegance and practicality. She was a factory worker by day and fashion plate by night. As a child, Carrie vividly remembers seeing her go from smart blouses with high, slim pants to a full-length mink coat, sometimes in the same day. So it’s fitting that Imogene’s namesake jean mixes 1940s tradition - the Golden Age of Denim in our book – with the more feminine styles of the 1970s.

Sizing:
Since this jean has been washed, please size up from what you’d normally wear.

Odessa is wearing a 26. She measures 5'9 1/2", 32B, 24 true waist, 34 hips.

Fabric:
Made from US-made Cone Mills denim. 92% cotton, 6% polyester, 2% spandex.

Shrinkage:
These jeans are prewashed. Shrinkage should be minimal to none.

Dye Transfer:
Even though these jeans are washed you may experience some transfer of indigo dye. Please be mindful of where you sit.

Care:
Wear often. Wash not so often.
