Named in memory of Florence Nightingale, a prominent nurse and writer. Known for her pioneering work in nursing during the Crimean War, she diligently tended to wounded soldiers both day and night.

Florence is a feminine play on a traditional naval pea coat mixed with a sweater-like cape. She is perfect for layering and can be worn loose and open or more precise and formal when buttoned up all the way with a popped collar. The under collar adds a nice accent with an authentic vintage canvas that we had left over from a previous project. The angled cut of the cape allows you to really cuddle up into its cozy deep pockets. The untraditional chainstitching creates a scar for a seam giving it a truly special finish. Its six horn buttons have a classic anchor and rope detail. The top orange buttonhole is a subtle nod to our orange “+” logo.
