“The most cozy thing ever is to wrap up in a beacon blanket when it’s cold outside,” Carrie says. “Of course, that’s not always appropriate.” The closest anyone will probably ever get is the beacon blanket coat she picked up on her recent trip to Marfa, Texas. “This really spoke to me,” she says. “There isn’t a label, which means it’s probably homemade. And I also love that there aren’t any seams on the body: it really is like wearing a blanket.” The coat is un-sized and could be worn by many body types. Carrie thinks its new owner will find it a super-practical staple in their closet. “I’d wear it as a coat, a sweater, and, if it was cold enough, even put it on when I came home at night.”
